About Ellis Bogacki
Ellis Bogacki grew up in Long Beach, New York and began training at Oceanside Dance Center in 2014. Ellis is currently a Senior at Manhattanville University and is receiving a BFA in Commercial Dance in 2026. She began her dance training in Hip-Hop and Contemporary which eventually led to dance competitions. She continued her training in Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Jazz Funk. Ellis won FIRST PRIZE in the 2022 National Starstruck Cup as a Senior in high school. Shortly after, she attended Manhattanville University, where she was exposed to Modern, Russian Ballet, and Tap. While learning new styles she also honed skills in improvisation. Ellis will be the first graduating class of the Commercial Dance Major at Manhattanville University. During her time at Mville, she auditioned for professional choreographers and was cast by all of them. She has worked with.....She has worked with Shannon Atkins, Mike Esperanza, Maddison Clay, Sarah Housepian, and Bo Belza to name a few. Alongside performing in the dance concerts, she developed her technique courses taught by professors: Shawn Bible, Shelly Hutchinson, Andrei Kisselev, and Jaime Frola. While attending Manhattanville, not only has she had the opportunity to perform in 8 of the University's Dance Concerts but she has also choreographed dances for the concert and dance teams. Her favorite style to choreograph is emotional Contemporary with a story. Ellis is starting the research process for her Senior Thesis Project which includes choreographing a 15–20–minute piece, along with lighting, staging, and costuming.Outside of the Commercial Dance Major, Ellis was also cast in the Fall Musical Theatre production, "Sweet Charity," by Bob Fosse, in which she will perform the role of "Ponytail Girl." . Her favorite styles to perform are Jazz, Alternative Lyrical/Contemporary, and the occasional dark, intricate dances. She has hopes of getting a contract with Disney Cruise Lines, then venturing off to audition in the city for off Broadway and Broadway shows, television and music industry backup dancing.
